Aoi Sakurai (桜井 あおい Sakurai Aoi) is the main character of Rail Wars! series. She is a member of the Fourth Peacekeeper Squad.
Appearance[]
Aoi has crimson hair which is tied up in bun at the back and light blue eyes.
While on duty, she wears the security uniform which includes a turquoise white gloves tie, skirt, black pantyhose (also wears in school uniform) and black shoes with red shoe laces. Her casual clothes include dress and white underwear, and a boots without legwear.
Personality[]
Aoi is a really tough girl that hates boys. She also isn't afraid to kill and is willing to take risks as seen in RAIL WARS! Episode 2 when she tries to defuse a bomb.
History[]
Aoi is a Sakuraka High School student (second-year).[1] She hates men so much that she volunteered to the Public Security Force to "shoot molesters".[2] Her father was police officer serving at Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.[3] Although Aoi has gorgeous body[4], she followed the same path as her father, and got shooting practice abroad,[5] and learned martial arts such as aikido, and handling of firearms.[6] Aoi is proficient in martial arts[7], and she was best of the class in short-term training before assignment.[8] However, Aoi hates to work under command of her father.[9] Contrary to Naoto, who want his training to pass peacefully, Aoi always hopes for some big accident.[10] She always carries her pistol (M92 Beretta in anime) with her for self-defense. Aoi always argues about that with Naoto, but at the same time she likes that Naoto always trusts her.
Aoi has a trauma caused by her falling into the gap between a platform and a train when she was a child.[11] Because of that, she is afraid of jumping above big gaps while getting on and off train.[12] Aoi is known as "Grim Reaper of Tokyo Station" because of her wish to shoot molesters, and beside molesters, Tokyo Central Post Office staff is also afraid of her because of that.[13] The only person, to whom Aoi looks up to, is Hitomi Gonou.
Relationship[]
Naoto Takayama[]
Aoi met Naoto before the entering the Railway Academy. At first, she was very cold towards him and would accuse him of perverted acts when she was the one making the mistakes. Later she came to trust him. In a later part of the series she developed feelings for him, he also eventually develops romantic feelings for her.
Haruka Koumi[]
Aoi and Haruka met at the opening ceremony of the Railway Academy. They soon became friends. She is the other female member besides Aoi Sakurai & Nana Lida of the Fourth Peacekeeper Squad. Aoi sees Haruka as a friend and comrade, as well as a rival in love.
Skills[]
- Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Trained in martial arts since she was a small child, both professionally and by her father. She has repeatedly shown great agility and coordination in her attacks. In addition to having powerful kicks and punches, Aoi is proficient in counterattacks, takedowns, and body locks.
